Colette Fortin BA, B.Ed., CDFA, Certified Coach Practitioner (CCP)

Owner/Senior Negotiator

altColette brings over 20 years of coaching and teaching experience to Fairway Divorce Waterloo-Wellington. She has burned through the fire of divorce and knows first hand how difficult a transition it can be.  In her teaching profession, Colette has personally witnessed how the disruptive forces of divorce can leave children confused and uncertain about their future. She understands the fears couples have when facing the difficult decisions surrounding divorce. To these challenges, Colette brings great empathy skills, compassion and understanding of the dynamics of human relationships.

Leading the Fairway Divorce Waterloo-Wellington team, Colette is experienced in guiding and facilitating divorcing couples through Fairway’s unique step-by-step Independently Negotiated Resolution Process™. She is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA), a member of the ADR Institute of Ontario and has obtained  an Advanced Certificate in Conflict Resolution. Colette is able to help clients make sense of the complex issues of divorce  - financial as well as emotional - so they are empowered to make good decisions about their future. Recognizing the toll that the traditional divorce process has on relationships (with each other and their children) and the associated drain of assets, Colette works with couples to achieve their best outcome possible.

Serving clients in the Kitchener, Waterloo, Guelph, Cambridge and surrounding communities, Colette is committed to bringing a family-centered approach to the difficult issues of divorce.
